This powered HDMI splitter is small and does just what is is supposed to do with no headaches, just plug it in. I split the signal between the bedroom tv where my satellite receiver is and my kitchen, about a 30 ft. run. both signals look great and there is no dancing around about what resolution is being transmitted. I was perfectly happy with the quality, service and condition of the splitter. Unfortunately it wasn't what I needed and had to send it back. I would have kept it had I had another use for it. I added a 23" Asus Monitor in my garage and use a HDMI cable from my bedroom above to watch Uverse the picture quality is great on both Units, the box is small and I have a velcro strip on the back of my dresser it is attached to. One thing with the uverse box sees the splitter and suspends instead of shutting down so the bright blue LED is always lit on the uverse panel. I had some old Radio shack remote control repeaters I use to change channels with. I have a PC hooked up the the monitor via DVI so it works great. I also bought the 22 gauge HDMI cable here and it is heavy duty 35 ft run. (Posted on 1/10/12)

I bought this to replace a component amp and splitter I had installed about three years ago. At that time I couldn't find an HDMI splitter and the price of HDMI cables was outrageous. When that set up failed and I decided to check out HDMI prices, I was thrilled to find CableTrain. This splitter "installed" flawlessly. I put "installed" in quotes because it was literally as simple as plugging it into a power outlet and plugging the HDMI cables into it. The splitter and the 100' HDMI cable to reach my other TV cost me less than half the cost of the replacement component set up and I now have HDMI picture quality on both TVs and I can play my Apple TV again (the new Apple TV is HDMI only) on the the remote TV.
