Banana plugs are the best way to connect speaker wire to your system. They are designed to make your speaker system more convenient to install and maintain. You can install banana plugs on bare speaker wire or spades. The solderless screw type design makes them very simple to use.

They are sold by the pair. Each plug is marked either red or black to make it easier to correctly match polarity. For example, red = left channel, black = right channel on both the speaker and amplifier.

It's a personal preference on which to choose. Although, the most popular choice is closed screw type.

Wire Gauge

These plugs can easily accommodate 10 gauge speaker wire. Many of our customers use them 12 gauge speaker wire. So in most cases, there is no concern with speaker wire gauge.
