Lots of steel in my home (framing, etc.), and we were having problems with the in-house wireless network. I knew the router was good, but there were too many walls and obstructions between where the router was located, and where we were using our laptops and wireles printer. These couplers and the Cat 5e and Cat 6 cables, connected to the original pair, enabled me to place the router where we now have uninterrupted wireless throughout the house.
