Product Description

The DVI-D dual link cables can deliver high-speed digital video signals as high as 9.9Gbps.

All of our DVI-D cables are In-wall rated so it is possible to make sure to pass building code inspections as well as effortlessly run the cable throughout the wall structure to be able to reduce cord clutter.

DVI Explained

DVI connectors make use of distinct pins to send out digital video signals between display devices. For the dual link system (like our DVI-D cables), you can find extra pins utilised to activate an additional set of data transmissions which enable for a far better efficiency. Furthermore, the DVI connection supports the VGA data set to allow legacy displays to be connected to a DVI supported PC with a simple adapter making the DVI connection a universal standard. To find out what type of connection you'll have to have a look at the letter that follows "DVI". As an example, DVI-D is for digital connections and DVI-A is for analog.

Each of our DVI cables are compliant with the standards backed by the Digital Display Working Group (DDWG). DVI-D is in addition partly compatible with HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface). A simple DVI to HDMI cable might be utilized for connecting HDMI and DVI gadgets with each other and still get the same hi-def video resolutions.

What is AWG?

AWG is considered the standard for marking the thickness of a cable. As a guideline, the lower the number, the thicker the cable. You will want thick cable for lengthy cable runs to be certain that the signal can transmit between the devices. As an example, if you had to choose from a 15 ft . 28AWG cable and a 15 ft . 24AWG cable, it would not hurt to opt for the 24 gauge purely to be on the safe side.

I had to move the computer 35 ft from the monitor and this worked perfect. I dont see any difference between the 35 ft cable and when it had a 6 ft one. (Posted on 11/9/10)
