Need to connect a single toslink audio source device to 2 seperate receiving devices, like a receiver or televison? This toslink adapter enables you to split an individual signal in to 2. It is not meant for combining 2 signals into one (not a bi-directional adapter).
In the event you need 2 sources to go into 1 input on a receiver, you will need a switch. If that is the case, check out: 3X1 Optical Audio Toslink Bi-Directional Manual Switch.
*NOTE to Customers who have already bought this Product: This splitter requires the all cables connected match in the correct orientation. You will notice that all optical cables have a side that's flat (commonly the top) and a side that is grooved (bottom). You need to make sure that the cables on each inputs are lined up properly. You will find yourself having difficulty getting it to work if one toslink is upside down, while the other is up.
